The Canal of Nafplion, which starts in the town of Nafplio and ends at the ancient city of Corinth, passes through many towns and villages. Napfilio is one of the most famous villages on this canal. It is a beautiful small village located near an old monastery. The name Napfilio comes from the word "neb-pilio" which means 'nose'. This is due to the fact that in ancient times, the inhabitants of Napfilio had an acute sense of smell and could distinguish between the forms of animals by scent.
The town is situated at an altitude of 987 metres, and it is noteworthy for its olive trees.
