In a small group of up to 6 guests, experience the life of Cretan shepherds on Lefka Ori Mountain. Stop for views of the spectacular Venizelos Gorge and the village of Therisso, and enjoy a lunchtime wine tasting.
An expert driver will take you through olive, orange and lemon groves as you head out on this 8-hour Jeep safari. Your first stop will be at the spectacular Venizelos Gorge. Admire the views and the wild landscapes.
Continue on to the picturesque village of Therisso. The village played an important role in local history, as it was here that the Cretan revolution began in 1905.
The drive will become more adventurous as your driver takes you on an off-road route. Half an hour later you’ll reach a traditional mitato hut, where shepherds live and still produce cheese following techniques that are a century old.
Taste local products at Therisso village including mountain tea, the famous Cretan cheese named "graviera", Cretan honey, and "tsakistes" olives. Then, enjoy 5 different wines as you visit the Vatolakos village and Manousakis winery.
Depending on the time of year, the restaurant for your lunch will be selected to avoid crowds. Your lunch will consist of traditional Cretan flavors with season salad, wine, and dessert.

Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 48 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 48 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
