If the challenge of Samaria is a little too much walking for you, then why not escape to the cool, mesmerizing Imbros for the day, on this rural getaway.
The Imbros Gorge is about 780 m above sea level and is immediately the neighboring gorge of the Samaria. It is about 8 km long and can easily be walked through in 2 to 3 hours. The gorge winds partly in a serpentine manner and becomes at one point so narrow that you can touch the walls with outstretched arms.
At the end of the gorge is the village Komitades, where you will have free time for lunch. Afterwards, you will drive to Fragokastelo, an old Venetian castle, where your guide will tell you about its interesting past before having free time to take a dip in the cool Libyan sea and start the journey back in the early afternoon.

Entrance fee of the gorge is 3.0 euros and is not included in the price. Although only 8 kilometers, the path is rocky and not recommended for persons with health problems.
When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
