Walk through the Albertinum to see masterpieces from the Galerie Neue Meister (New Masters Gallery) and Skulpturensammlung (Sculpture Collection). See works from the 19th century up to the present day.
Explore the Albertinum to see the place where painting meets sculpture, East meets West and today meets tomorrow. The first work you will see is The Thinker by Auguste Rodin, the trailblazer for numerous artistic styles that crystallized in the twentieth century.
Other famous works include but are not limited to Wilhelm Lehmbruck’s 1911 Kneeling Woman, masterworks by Caspar David Friedrich, Birgit Diecker’s Seelenfänger, and Tony Cragg’s mathematically stacked cube made of wood, fabric scraps, and loose-leaf binders.
