The Berchtesgaden area holds so much historical value with regards to World War II. This lengthy private tour is perfect for history buffs wishing to discover the extensive history of this area. . .
This full day tour comprehensively covers a multitude of the historically important sites on the Obersalzberg, including the more hidden locations that most tourists never hear about. While there are many tour options that include this area, most will only stop off at the most well known spots. I will also include the secrets hidden on the mountainside which really provide an authentic account of the fascinating history of this area.
My qualifications, along with a passion that has led to years of private research, as well as meetings with eye witnesses from the period give me a unique insight and extensive knowledge.
In addition, the mountain scenery is extremely beautiful and on a clear day you will be surrounded by stunning panoramic views of the Bavarian Alps and the valley below, particularly from the Eagle's Nest.
Itinerary: This tour is for those with a fervent interest in learning as much as possible about the history of the area. Covering all of the more well-known sites, the tour would also include exploration of the more hidden secret areas, such as (but not limited to):
