Discover the best of Georgia on a 3-night, 4-day tour from Tbilisi. Visit the historical city of Mtskheta, the estate of Ivane Bagration-Mukhransky, and the Chateau Mukhrani winery. Explore the Kakheti region, and enjoy wine tastings and a traditional Georgian feast.
Day 1:
Meet your guide at Tbilisi International Airport and head to the historical city of Mtskheta. Visit the Jvari Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. See the monument of the famous Russian poet M. Yu. Lermontov, who sang about the beauty of the temple.
Continue to the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral. Visit the estate of Ivane Bagration-Mukhransky, the Chateau Mukhrani winery, and a tour of the renovated vineyards. Try exquisite dishes of Georgian cuisine and wine tasting.
Take part in the preparation of churchkhela, a traditional Georgian feast, and have lunch. Take a bus tour of nighttime Tbilisi and check in to a 3-star hotel in Tbilisi for the night.
Day 2:
After breakfast, take a tour of Tbilisi. Visit the famous sulfur baths and the spring where the city's name originates. Head to the Kakheti region, famous for its large grape yield. Stop in the "city of love" Sighnaghi, for a walking tour of the ancient protective wall of the city.
Walk along the wall to a large observation area, where you can have lunch (not included). Admire the magnificent view of the Alazani Valley. Return to Tbilisi for the night.
Day 3:
After breakfast, take a short tour of Tbilisi. Visit the central cathedral of Trinity. Head towards Telavi, the central city of the Kakheti region. Visit the local winery “MARANI,” where you can walk along the so-called “wine route.”
See the entire production process from the vineyard to the pressing shop, then the barrels and, finally, the bottling shop. Observe the various stages of wine production, visiting the Marani, and get answers from experts to all your questions about wine.
End the tour with a wine tasting of 7 different wines, accompanied by traditional Kakhetian snacks. Return to Tbilisi for the night.
Day 4:
After breakfast, transfer to Tbilisi International Airport for your flight home.
