Explore a heritage trail in the Alta Rocca on a panoramic sunset hike beginning in Serra-di-Scopamène. Learn about the region’s history and chestnut trees, try local snacks with wine, and enjoy a private tour for just you and your group.
Meet your guide at the trailhead, then leave the village behind as you hike upward. Find out about the exceptional olive oil and flour produced from the local chestnut trees as you go.
Cross a magnificent forest of holm oaks covered lichen to discover ancient coal mines and the remains of small houses dating from the Bronze Age. Upon arrival at the summit, take in panoramic views of the region down to the sea as the setting sun colors the Needles of Bavella.
Taste a platter of local seasonal products, including charcuterie, cheese, fruits, and wine. Afterward, descend via a lighter route with a rolling path to the village. Look out for the donkeys that might greet you once you arrive at the end of the hike.

This tour will take place rain and shine (wear appropriate gear and have a frontal lamp); cancellation in case of storms only
Take at least 1.5 liters of water per person

Meeting point face to a Scopa 's restaurant at 4 or 5pm (or 5.30pm if you come by bus) depending on the season
Bus lines : departure from Ajaccio by car at 3:30 pm arrival at 5:10 pm and or from Porto Vecchio at 7:00 am arriving at 7:55 pm in Zonza, 8:05 am in Quenza, 8.25 am only on Monday and Friday from September 1st to June 30th and every day in summer ... or from Ajaccio by Propriano bus departing from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm in Zonza every day all year except Sundays and public holidays - we can then pick you up in Zonza.
When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
