Description

During this tour, which lasts around 1 hour 30 minutes and is suitable for all the family, you will discover what the Battle of the Hedges was like, as it took place in Normandy just after D-Day.
As you follow this intimate tour through some thirty hyper-realistic settings and more than 15,000 authentic objects and archives, you will learn more about this battle that took place after the Normandy landings in June 44 and that was decisive on the road to Freedom.

The tour takes place in chronological order, from the declaration of war in 1939 to the reconstruction of France after 1944, with a focus on the Battle of the Hedges and the fighting in July 44.

You'll find out more about the daily lives of soldiers and civilians throughout this period: food, clothing, housing, entertainment, protection, educating children... so many problems to solve in wartime with the limited resources available.

Connoisseurs of military vehicles will be able to see a number of vehicles in the museum, including a 1:1 scale model of a P47, a tank, a jeep and a landing barge.
