The Battle of Verdun is considered the greatest and lengthiest in WWI history. Never before or since has there been such a lengthy battle, involving so many men, situated on such a tiny piece of land.
- Starting the tour by visiting the Colonel Driant Command Post, the place where the offensive battle began. Understand the sacrifice of the Colonel and his "Chasseurs" trying to slow down the German attack.
- Pay respectful tribute at the Douaumont Ossuary to French and German soldiers
- Visit the Bayonet trench monument
- Stop for lunch on Verdun
- Visit the Fort of Douaumont outside (visit inside can be also added)
- Explore the former destroyed Village of Fleury to witness the battle remains
- Go to Les 4 cheminées underground casemate
- Travel through the historic Fort of Froideterre
