Description

Eager to dive into the local history, enjoy distinct tastes of the Provence, and understand the artistic importance of the painters who lived here?
As an experienced art historian (MA and PhD candidate) specialised in Old Masters and 19th century European art and a love for food and wine, I commit my time to sharing stories about art, history, and flavours of the Provence with all passionate enthousiasts.

During a 2.5 hour walking tour, you will stroll through the city, traversing history from ancient to modern times. Along the tour we will visit important buildings and squares, but also stop to taste some local delights.

AIX-EN-PROVENCE: touring the city of a thousand fountains, known for its Roman history, important French primitive triptych, picturesque city centre, and strong ties with modern art through Paul Cézanne.

MARSEILLE: exploring the vibrant districts of the historic centre, its emblematic cathedrals and understanding the city’s multinational character through its trading activities.

ARLES: discovering a charming city packed with Roman architecture, such as its theatre and amphitheatre, and the celebrated scenes of Vincent Van Gogh’s paintings.
