On the first day, take a boat ride to visit the island monasteries of Lake Tana which are dated from 13th-16th century. See hippos at Lake Tana. Enjoy a lunch break. Tour around the city of Bahir Dar; go to the air open market, grass basket market, animal market. Climb the hilltop of Bezawit for spectacular views over Lake Tana, the Blue Nile and the city of Bahir Dar.
Spend the night in Bahir Dar (Hotel, lodge, or pension). On the second day, drive to Tis Abay to visit the Blue Nile falls, and the museum. Explore the city and return to Bahir Dar.
