You will be touring the very southern tip of the Charleston penninsula where the settlers first landed and where you will find the biggest and oldest homes in Charleston and other historic sites.
This is a small group tour that includes the oldest part of Charleston, the Charlestowne neighborhood. It includes the site of the original walled city, Charleston's biggest home includes the Williams mansion, at 25,000 sq. ft. Charlestons largest home, White Point Gardens, rainbow row, some of Charleston's oldest churches and museum houses and much more. When we walk the high battery I will be talking about the Civil War and the Revolution War including the battle of Battery Wagner featured in the movie Glory. We will also be walking Tradd street where the movie The Patriot was filmed. On Church Street you will see Catfish Row featured in the play Porgy and Bess.
