Tallinn is the capital, most important and the most populous city of Estonia. Tallinn was first mentioned in 1219 and its Old Town is one of the best-preserved medieval cities in Europe. It is even listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was almost untouched by war and remains a perfectly preserved walled city.
Historically this city has had many different ruling powers and all of them have left some unique legacy here. In Tallinn, you can see Danish, German, Sweedish, Russian, Soviet, and obviously Estonian footsteps. Just to name few - The Worlds Tallest building in medieval times, very complex defensive walls, oldest continuously working pharmacy in Europe and even venue where acclaimed movie director Christopher Nolan shot his film.
