Description

Walk along El Caminito del Rey for a thrilling experience and some spectacular views. This high-up adventure takes you 100 meters above the river.
Your walking tour begins at the Conde de Guadalhorce Dam, the main water reserve in the province of Malaga. From your guide you’ll learn about the history of the Desfiladero de los Gaitanes. This canyon, carved by the Guadalhorce River, is at the center of the province.

The construction of a water channel from the reservoirs in the north to El Chorro included building a pathway for maintaining the channel. The path is known as El Caminito del Rey (the little pathway of the king), as it was inaugurated by King Alfonso XIII.

The length of the path is about 3kms and it is less than 1m wide. It hangs 100m above the Guadalhorce River.

Test your nerve on this high-up adventure!

Having finished the breathtaking Caminito del Rey, the bus will take you to Álora, a little village outside of El Caminito del Rey. A local product tasting will take place in a local restaurant, with products like almonds, oil, bread, wine and olives.
