Description

Embark on a 5-day voyage aboard the Seaman Journey, discovering the untouched beauty of the Galápagos Islands. This trip immerses you in one of the world's most pristine and diverse ecosystems.
Day 1: The journey begins with a flight to the Galápagos, arriving on San Cristobal Island. After passing a thorough inspection to prevent the introduction of foreign species, travelers meet their guide and are transferred to the Seaman Journey catamaran. In the afternoon, they visit the San Cristobal Interpretation Center, where they explore the islands' geological and human history, as well as the ongoing conservation efforts that preserve this unique environment.

Day 2: In the morning, travelers head to Punta Pitt on San Cristobal Island, a site celebrated for its diverse birdlife and striking hiking trails. The area is marked by eroded volcanic hills that offer spectacular views and features a beach where marine turtles nest. The tour continues with a visit to Galapaguera, a sanctuary dedicated to the conservation of Galápagos tortoises. Here, visitors can observe these majestic creatures along with other endemic species like the Chatham Mockingbird and the San Cristobal Lava Lizard. The afternoon is spent at Cerro Brujo, a pristine white coral beach ideal for swimming, snorkeling, and birdwatching.

Day 3: The exploration continues on Española Island, beginning with a visit to Gardner Bay in the morning. This location offers a perfect setting for beach relaxation, kayaking, and observing sea lions. The clear waters of the bay are home to a variety of marine life, including sharks, and the area is also a habitat for three species of Darwin’s finches. In the afternoon, travelers explore Suarez Point, one of the Galápagos' premier wildlife viewing sites. Here, they can observe blue-footed boobies, albatrosses, and Nazca boobies. A major highlight is the dramatic blowhole that shoots water 50 to 75 meters into the air.

Day 4: The day begins on Floreana Island at Cormorant Point, where travelers visit a lagoon that attracts flamingos and various shorebirds, including common stilts and pintail ducks. The tour includes walks on two distinct beaches: the Green Beach, notable for its olivine crystals, and the Flour Sand Beach, composed of coral. Later, the group heads to Champion Islet for snorkeling, where they can encounter sea turtles, sea lions, and an array of colorful fish. In the afternoon, the adventure continues to Post Office Bay, a historic site where visitors can participate in the centuries-old tradition of leaving and collecting postcards from a wooden barrel.

Day 5: The final day of the journey features a visit to the Charles Darwin Research Station on Santa Cruz Island. Here, travelers gain insight into the ongoing efforts to conserve the unique ecosystems of the Galápagos. The station provides a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and successes in protecting the archipelago's wildlife and habitats. After this informative visit, travelers are transferred to Baltra Airport for their return flight to the mainland, concluding their memorable exploration of the Galápagos Islands.
