From Quito: Otavalo and Peguche Waterfall Full-Day Tour

Discover the distinct beauty and culture of Ecuador on this full-day tour through the countryside from Quito. Taste the delicious “Bizcochos de Cayambe”, and end the day in Otavalo.
First stop: Local biscuits oven at Cayambe. Our first stop will be in Cayambe, where we
will visit one of the local families that make the famous "bizcochos" (biscuits) with
delicacy. Here we will discover the recipe of this traditional food accompanied by "queso
de hoja" (cheese) and "manjar de leche" (milk jam/caramel). (food not included).
Second stop: San Pablo Lake Viewpoint. Relax with the peaceful landscape of this lake
while you have privilege views of Taita Imbabura volcano. Take pictures here.
Third stop: Peguche Waterfall. Near Otavalo, is located a sacred place named Peguche, a
small town of Otavaleños artists. Once there, we will do a short hike towards the waterfall.
Then, we will walk through the crowded artisan and commercial street. Do not forget to
take pictures of the colorful murals. (entrance included)
Fourth stop: Ñanda Mañachi cultural center. Stop by Ñanda Mañachi artists. Learn about
Otavalo people and their most used musical instruments. (entrance included)
Fifth stop: Otavalo Indigenous Market. A free time stop is included to walk, see and of
course buy the important amount of ecuadorian handicrafts exhibited there. Taste the
traditional ecuadorian food amid this time. (Lunch not included).

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
