Explore one of the most biodiverse volcanoes in Ecuador, El Antisana, located in the Andean Paramos and home to the majestic Andean Condor as well as wild deer and rabbits.
Discover the majestic Antisana Volcano in one day departing from your Hotel within the city of Quito. We will take you through stunning mountain landscapes on a 1.5 hour trip to the entrance of the Antisana Reserve.
On the way, we will make a stop in the town of Pintag to buy what we need and if you want you can also have breakfast.
Once inside the Antisana Reserve, we begin to explore the Andean moors, on our way we will make some stops to see white-tailed deer, rabbits or the second most important bird of the Andes, the "curiquinge", on our guided walks. We learn about the unique flora and fauna of the region and we will arrive at Laguna la Mica, a natural sanctuary near the slopes of the volcano formed by the glaciers where we will have an incredible view to take photographs.
