Description

Embark on a 4-day adventure through the Galápagos Islands aboard the Seaman Journey. Explore unique islands, admire their biodiversity, and snorkel in crystal-clear waters alongside sea lions.
Day 1: Arrival in Galápagos and North Seymour Exploration
Begin your journey by flying to the Galápagos Islands, where you'll land in Santa Cruz. After clearing customs and paying the entrance fees, a guide will escort you to the Seaman Journey catamaran. In the afternoon, explore North Seymour Island, known for its flat terrain and rocky landscape. Here, you'll witness magnificent frigatebirds nesting, blue-footed boobies performing their courtship dance, and sea lions playing in the surf.

Day 2: Genovesa Island – Darwin Bay and El Barranco
Your day starts with a visit to Darwin Bay on Genovesa Island. This bay was formed by a collapsed crater and is a birdwatcher's paradise. You'll see red-footed and masked boobies, lava gulls, and more as you explore the white coral beach and ascend to the cliff's edge for breathtaking views. In the afternoon, head to El Barranco, where a trail on volcanic rock leads to nesting sites of storm petrels and the elusive short-eared owl. The cliffs provide a dramatic backdrop for spotting fur sea lions and various seabirds.

Day 3: Plazas and Santa Fe Islands
In the morning, visit Plazas Island, located east of Santa Cruz. Despite its small size, Plazas is home to a variety of unique species, including hybrid iguanas that are a cross between marine and land iguanas. As you walk along the rugged cliffs, you'll observe swallow-tailed gulls, Audubon shearwaters, and other seabirds. In the afternoon, explore Santa Fe Island, known for its flat terrain and endemic species like the Galápagos hawk and Santa Fe land iguana. After disembarking, you'll have the chance to snorkel in the clear waters and encounter playful sea lions and vibrant tropical fish.

Day 4: San Cristobal – Jacinto Gordillo Breeding Center
Your final day begins on San Cristobal Island with a visit to the Jacinto Gordillo Breeding Center. Established in 2004, this center is dedicated to the breeding and rearing of young tortoises. You'll learn about the conservation efforts and assisted reproduction programs that are vital to the survival of these iconic creatures. After your morning excursion, you'll be transferred to the airport for your flight back to the mainland, concluding your unforgettable Galápagos adventure.
