Description
Perfect start to the weekend: From the Falkenhaus to the Old Main Bridge, the town's sociable meeting point. With Franconian mulled wine or punch, there are fun facts about the city and "Brückenschoppen".
From the meeting point in front of the Tourist Information in the Falkenhaus on the Oberer Markt, the guided tour takes you past the Gothic Marienkapelle chapel, the town hall and the Vierröhrenbrunnen fountain to the Old Main Bridge. It is one of the most important connecting routes in the city and has always brought people from all over the world to and through Würzburg. For around 300 years, 12 bridge statues have adorned the niches on both sides: they would like to be - but not all of them are holy. The tradition of "Brückenschoppen" is much younger.
With a glass of Franconian mulled wine or non-alcoholic punch, you can enjoy the incomparable atmosphere at Würzburg's most sociable meeting point in winter. With a view of the Marienberg fortress, the cathedral, the Käppele and the "Würzburger Stein", you can learn many interesting details about the history of Würzburg and get in the mood for an enjoyable weekend in the city.
