Our guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel in downtown Lijiang at 8:30am and drive about 1 hour to the vicinity of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, where you can take a large cable car to the top of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and enjoy the beautiful view of the mountain (in case of exceptionally strong winds and in the unlikely event that the cable car to the glacier park does not operate, the tour will be changed to visit Yunchengping). Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is not only a treasure trove of natural landscapes, but also has a profound humanistic background. It is a sacred mountain in the hearts of the Naxi people, and many legends and myths are related to this mountain, making it a popular destination for domestic and foreign tourists.

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is located in the transition zone between the southeastern edge of the Tibetan Plateau and the northwestern part of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, and belongs to part of the Hengduan Mountain System. The landscape is mainly composed of limestone and basalt, which are distinctly black and white, hence the name ‘Black and White Snow Mountain’.
