Description
In search of perfectly golden pastries, colourful cakes, and crusty loaves? Come discover Copenhagen's Østerbro neighbourhood and immerse yourself in the delightful world of Danish baking.
What do you call a pastry? A Danish of course!
On this unforgettable guided tour of some of Copenhagen's best bakeries, you will discover the historic roots of the iconic Danish Pastry, learn about how the New Nordic Food Movement influenced modern baking in Denmark, and dive headfirst into buttery goodness!
Copenhagen's leafy and elegant suburb of Østerbro has become a hotspot for some of the best artisanal bakeries in town. Join us on this guided walking tour starting at Trianglen Metro next to the famous Parken Stadium, from where we will wind our way down leafy streets past historic villas to find some frankly astounding pastries, including NOMA-alum Emil Glaser's game-changing cardamom bun. Grab a cup of coffee from award-winning boutique roastery Prolog and watch the world go by (probably on a bicycle).
Combining culinary and local history with a selection of delectable baked goods, this tour off the beaten path invites you to experience Copenhagen as the locals do.
At Delicious Denmark we pride ourselves on our bespoke service, and take pleasure in tailoring our tours to your interests. Please contact us with your areas of interest and we will create a personalised tour just for you!
