Option 1: Badaling Great Wall and Longqing Gorge Lantern Festival (8 Hours)
Following a pickup from your accommodation in Beijing city center at your selected time, meet your private guide and hop aboard your air-conditioned vehicle. Head directly to Badaling Great Wall. On the way, your guide will give you an explanation of the Great Wall and the related Chinese history and culture.
The Badaling Great Wall is one of the most important parts of the Great Wall. This Great Wall was attached with great military importance. An old Chinese saying tells the crucial position of Badaling: if one man guards the pass, ten thousand cannot get through. The highest point of Badaling Great Wall is Beibalou, approximately 1,015 m above sea level.
Upon arrival, take the cable car up to the highest point where you can overlook the entire area and take some nice photos. Spend 2 hours hiking on the Wall.
After lunch at a local Chinese restaurant, head to Longqing Gorge. The Longqing Gorge ice and snow festival starts from mid-January and runs until the end of February. Over 400 ice sculptures, carved by both Chinese and foreign artists, are exhibited here. Each year has a different theme. When illuminated at night, these brilliant sculptures create a fantastic visual experience.
Afterward, be transferred back to your hotel in Beijing.
Option 2: Ming Tombs and Longqing Gorge Day Tour ( 8 Hours)
After meet your tour guide in the lobby of your hotel, heading north to the Ming Tombs. You will visit the Dingling at Ming Tombs. Dingling Tomb, the only underground palace which was open to the public. Dingling is the tomb of Emperor Zhu Yijun, the longest ruling period of all the 16 Ming emperors. The construction started when he was only 22, and it took 6 years to finish. It was completed in 1590.
After he died, he was buried in Dingling with his two empresses. Your guide will give a detailed stories about the Ming dynasties history and tell the life story of the owner of this tomb. Be amazed by the complicated burial culture in the Ming Dynasty.
Option 3: Summer Palace and Longqing Gorge Day Tour (8 Hours)
After meet your tour guide in the lobby of your hotel, your tour will start with a visit to a well-preserved royal garden: the Summer Palace. Which is not just a destination; it’s a journey through time, art, and nature. Follow your tour guide to stroll around the garden, learn the stories and histories behind the buildings. Get to know the famous " Dragon Lady" and her life in the Summer Palace.
Option 4: Night tour to Longqing Gorge (6 Hours)
The night tour to Longqing gorge start between 15:00-17:00. It takes about 2 hours to arrive at Longqing Gorge, you will spend about 2 hours at the attraction. Afterwards you will be transferred back to your hotel.
