Description
Discover the flavors of l’île d’Orléans as vineyards, jam, cider, nougat, chocolate, and history are all showcased on this tour. You will also meet the local producers of the region, and discover local favorites.
After being collected from Place d'Arme at either 9:45AM or 1:45PM, you will travel towards the Island of Orléans to discover the flavors of the area. Located in the Saint Lawrence River, east of downtown Quebec City, you will take part in 5 different tastings at 5 different stops throughout your day.
At each stop, you will be able to taste products and discover their stories. Your first stop is to the Chocolaterie Ste Petronille (producer of chocolates, truffles, jams, and ice-cream soaked in chocolate). Your second stop is the Nougaterie of St. Pierre (a producer of nougats and other sweets). Your third stop will be to the Cidrerie Bilodeau (a producer of cider, juice, and apple jelly), with your fourth stop being to the Vineyard of Mitan (a producer of white wines, red wines, and ice wines).
Your final stop will be at Tigidou jam makers. Taste the creations cooked from fresh local seasonal berries, always original, natural, and 100% local. You will discover throughout your getaway the drink specialties and dishes of the region, and will also learn more about the history and the beginnings of the colonization in Île d'Orléans. At the conclusion of your tour, you will be taken back to Place d'Arme.
