Description

The Battamburg Province is at heart of Cambodia's stunning countryside and what is known as the rice bowl - the place where they produce all their rice. Passing through here we will climb mountains, enter caves and sightsee in the local town center.
At 7:00h a Euro Kymer guide will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to the west of Siem Reap to the Sisophon district. The area is full of gorgeous of lakes and Kymer temples – the perfect opportunity for some photographs.

We will continue to Battambang Province, the heart of Cambodia’s rice bowl. Its title gives it away. It’s the area where the Cambodia produces most of it’s rice, and it not unusual to see cattle driving carts of rice along its dusty mud tracks.

At the Sompove Mountain you visit the Killing Cave. Again, its name gives it away. It was a place where hundreds of people were tortured and killed.

At the top of Banon Mountain, your next stop, is the temple of Banon - a mid 11th century Angkorian-era ruin consisting of five Prasats arranged in the quincunx form reminiscent of Angkor Wat.

Back in the town center, we will visit the Provincial Museum and Wat Kandal – a collection of ancient pagodas.

We will arrive back in Siem Reap in the late evening.
