Description
Enjoy a full day at Cambodia's beautiful capital Phnom Penh. Explore some of the most popular tourist attractions in the city in just one day.
You'll first visit the magnificent Cambodian royal palace, one of the most popular tourist attractions. Get to the Silver Pagoda which is located right next door to the palace. The Silver Pagoda Aka Temple of the Emerald Buddha has beautiful lush gardens & a unique grand Buddha statue crafted from baccarat crystals. We'll stay here for around 2.5 hours before moving on to the next attraction.
Do note that the royal palace and Silver Pagoda are closed some days. In case of closure, we'll exchange the tour location for a joint sunset cruise on the Mekong River. Next, we'll go to Wat Phnom through the grand eastern staircase. After this, we'll spend about half an hour at Independence Monument, built to honor Cambodia's struggle for independence from France.
Then we'll go to Wat Ounalom, one of the most significant Buddhist monasteries in Cambodia. Next, visit Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum along with the Choeung Ek Genocide Center. We'll stay here for around 3 hours before taking off to our last destination i.e. the Central Market. Explore the market for an hour before heading to the hotel.
