Travel 34 km away from Siem Reap town, you can explore the remarkable stilted village of Kampong Phluk on the Tonle Sap Lake, where the houses are built five meters above dry ground to account for the rise and fall of the lake’s waters. Venture to the back of the market beyond the river where the streets are lined with fresh produce.
