Description

Enjoy the small group or a private tour of Kulen Mountain, Beng Mealea Temple and Tonle Sap Lake. See the Reclining Buddha and 1000 Lingas River, and take a boat to Kampong Phluk Village.
You will be picked you up from your hotel at between 7:30 am or 8:00 am and take you to purchase a ticket of Kulen Mountain. We will then head to Phnom Kulen National Park for approximately 1 hour. This journey takes you through rural Cambodian villages named Preh Dak, where you may observe locals going about their everyday lives and admire beautiful landscapes such as rice paddies and traditional dwellings. Stop off at the Palm Sugar Village and witness how Cambodian people make their own sugar to supply their families and villages.

Continue our trip to Phnom Kulen is considered a holy mountain in Cambodia and is of special religious significance to Hindus and Buddhists. Visit this sacred site and discover it's beauty.

Make your way up the mountain by foot to the River of a Thousand Lingas, a gorgeous river with sophisticated Shiva Linga carvings covering its floor. Get a blessing in the Cambodian way, with the holy water from this sacred river.
Continue up to the tip of the mountain to discover the beautiful Pagoda and its world-famous Reclining Buddha at rest. See the beauty of this spiritual place as you wander through. Please keep in mind that lunch will be served late (excluded), around 2-3pm, after plenty of time spent at the waterfall. Rest assured, we carefully select top-quality restaurants in the area with prices ranging from usd5 to usd15 per plate, ensuring excellent food and hygiene standards.

After lunch break we continue to the jungle clad temple of Beng Mealea. Once in a complete state of disrepair resembling a giant jigsaw puzzle, Beng Mealea has recently been made more accessible with the addition of a wooden walkway throughout the structure assuring safe access and slight elevation, thus a better view. This mid 12th century temple features mixture of Buddhism and Hinduism attributes and is particularly mesmerizing in the wet season.

Continue to take a local boat from the ferry to explore the famous floating village of Kampong Phluk. There, you can see firsthand what everyday life is like for the many families who make their living primarily from fishing. Most families live on the lake shore in brightly colored houses on long poles, so the high water levels are not a problem during the rainy season.

Explore the flooded mangrove forest surrounding the area, which is home to a variety of species, including crab-eating macaques and 3,000 inhabitants. We will then take you to visit a Buddhist monastery built on an artificial island. Drop you off at your hotel.
