Tonle Sap is considered as the greatest lake in South-East Asia. You can join this 2 hours tour by boat to explore the floating village at Kompong Phluk and see how the local people live on the water.
Meeting point: We will pick you up at the hotel reception between 14:00 and 14:30. Then we'll take 30 minutes to the pier by van or tuk tuk (depends on the number of the participants).
On the way to the floating village, we will stop at the local market for photograph. After arriving at the pier, we will take a private boat just for our group to explore Kompong Phluk floating village (one of the famous floating villages in Siem Reap). It would take half an hour by boat to reach the village. Then it takes more than one hour to ride a private boat to see around the village. One section of the village is made up of houses built on 5-7m high stilt houses, while the other part is made up of floating houses, schools, shops, church and a police station. In this village you will see how the local people live on the water. Most of them live from fishing and rice cultivation during the dry season. End of the tour and back to the hotel after watching sunset over the lake.
Optional: enjoy an optional tour going through the flooded Mangroves forest on a small boat, a great break on the way to Tonle Sap to experience local fauna and flora.
NOTE: Kompong Phluk floating village can be visited between these months, June to November during rainy season and December to February. Otherwise, the rest of the months would be visited the other floating village Chong Khneas.

Note: Due to the level of the lake during dry season, the floating village of Kompong Phluk can be visited between these months, June to November and December to February. Otherwise, the rest of the months can be visited other floating village Chong Khneas

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
