The main objective of Surf Matrix is to teach you everything you need to know to surf in an easy, attractive and safe way.
In this experience you will surf on the beach with the best conditions of the day for your level of surfing, a great opportunity to discover the beautiful beach of Arpoador in Ipanema. We will start with the theoretical and practical part done on the sand, observing the entrance and exit of the sea (location), how to position yourself on the board, paddle, drop and safety rules of the sport, then we will move to the sea, putting into practice the concepts explained in the sand. Arpoador beach is known for its constant waves and is one of the best places to surf in Rio de Janeiro. In addition, the sunset view is simply amazing, making the experience even more special. Get ready to have fun, learn something new and enjoy the natural beauty of Rio de Janeiro. IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- To participate in this activity it is essential to have the confidence to swim in the sea with waves. Surfing requires a basic level of fitness.
- This activity depends on weather and sea conditions. In case of cancellation, a new date will be offered or you will receive a full refund.
We will meet you at Praia do Arpoador, in Ipanema. We will be waiting for you at the yellow tent. Before the beginning of the class, we will try to contact the students. If we are unable to establish communication, please go directly to the yellow tent where we will be located.
When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
