From the meeting point, head inside Tijuca National Park to begin your hike. This medium-difficulty trail is approximately 1.6 miles (2.5 km) and will take a couple of hours to reach the top, where you can experience amazing panoramic views of the area. During the hike, spot the local flora and fauna and enjoy beautiful views. Stop whenever necessary to hydrate, catch your breath, and take pictures.
After passing through the paradão, one of the most popular places to photograph and with an incredible view, you will arrive at the famous Carrasqueira, where you will climb or rappel using all necessary equipment. Then, continue along the trail and reach the top to enjoy the best view of Rio de Janeiro.
