You'll have the chance to experience Rio de Janeiro's samba school parade, considered by many to be the "greatest spectacle on earth". This grand cultural event is marked by its Afro-Brazilian textures, drumming and beauty. The main parade takes place in the Sambódromo, designed by the famous architect Oscar Niemeyer, with a capacity for 80,000 people.

Carnival at the Sambodromo is divided into three main moments over six days of parades:

February 28, 2025 (Friday): Access Group (2nd league)
March 01, 2025 (Saturday): Access Group (2nd league)
March 02, 2025 (Sunday): Special Group (1st league)
March 03, 2025 (Monday): Special Group (1st league)
March 04, 2025 (Tuesday): Special Group (1st league)
March 08, 2025 (Saturday): Parade of Champions (with the six best schools from the 1st league carnival)

Access Group (2nd league)
The schools in the Access Group compete for a place among the top schools the following year. Four schools parade each night, bringing a lot of excitement and beauty. Ideal for those who want to attend the carnival at a more affordable price.

Grupo Especial (1st league)
These are the most eagerly awaited days, with Rio de Janeiro's 12 biggest samba schools presenting their grandiose productions. These are nights of pure magic at the Sambódromo, which is why tickets are the most sought-after.

Parade of Champions
On the night of the champions, the six best schools in the Special Group perform again. It's an unmissable opportunity for those who want to see the year's winners in a special parade.

Transportation to the Sambódromo
We offer guided transportation from the meeting point, taking visitors to the sambodrome via public transport or shuffle (check availability and cost).

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
