Escape the hustle and bustle of Rio de Janeiro and head to Serra dos Órgãos National Park. Named by Portugues settlers for its peaks that resemble the organ pipes in European cathedrals, this park is filled with lush forests, waterfalls, and freshwater streams. Trek up to Pedra do Sino (Bell Stone) at a height of (2275m/7465ft) and admire regional landmarks such as Dedo de Deus (God's Finger peak), the Garrafão, and the Escalavrado as well as Guanabara Bay in Rio de Janeiro and the Atlantic Ocean.
The adventure begins with hotel pick up from Rio's South Zone. Drive 1.5 hours to Teresópolis in an air-conditioned car and begin the 13-km (8.1-mile) ascent. Stop for a break and a drink from a freshwater stream and admire the waterfalls and forests along the path. After reaching the summit, the guide will lead the group to explore the incredible sights, plants, and animals.
This hike is recommended for people in good physical condition and with an adventurous spirit. At the end of the day, we will return to Rio and stop on the way for free time for a snack.

• The full tour takes approximately 14 hours with 7.5 hours of trekking (4 hours up/ 3.5 hours down)
• The route covers 26 km/ 16.1 miles roundtrip

Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 48 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 48 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
