Chobe National Park is renowned for its abundant elephant herds that frequent the Chobe River, particularly noticeable during the dry season when an estimated 85,000 elephants roam the park, with a significant concentration along the riverbanks. In addition to the iconic elephants, the park is home to a diverse array of wildlife, including lions, leopards, buffaloes, and various antelope species such as sable, puku, kudu, and eland. The river itself hosts large groups of hippos and some of Africa's largest crocodiles.
