Day 1: Maun to Okavango Delta
After a short drive, we will arrive at the breathtaking Okavango Delta, an absolute oasis you do not want to miss. Here, we will meet our community guides, who are skilled experts in navigating traditional dugout canoes known as mokoros. They will lead us deep into the heart of this unique inland delta, where we will set up camp in the wild.
Day 2: Okavango Delta
In the early morning, we will explore the island on foot with a bush walk. This area is home to remarkable herds of elephants, red lechwe, impala, and buffaloes. In the late afternoon, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a mokoro ride through the winding channels of the Okavango. The biodiversity of the Okavango is truly impressive!
Day 3-4: Khwai Concession
Arrive at the Khwai Concession, a private reserve featuring lagoons, channels, and grasslands adjacent to the stunning Moremi Game Reserve, located on the edge of the world-famous Okavango Delta. The Khwai River serves as the boundary of the Moremi Game Reserve, and you will enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in this pristine wildlife area. As a private game reserve, Khwai Concession offers a more intimate wildlife experience.
Khwai is home to a remarkable diversity of flora and fauna. Exploring this natural habitat is truly astonishing. You might encounter lions, wild dogs, impalas, zebras, kudus, leopards, and various species of birds that interact within this ecosystem. After a day filled with adventure, you can enjoy sundowners while taking in the fantastic views of the Khwai River before returning to camp.
