During the reign of King Tvrtko, Bosnia had the largest territory and many signs of the king's lifestyle can still be seen and are well preserved.

The Old Fortress in Tesanj, the largest in the country, is a national treasure and a must-see for tourists. Another medieval site worth visiting is the Vranduk fortress, which has recently undergone restoration and is now one of Bosnia's best-preserved medieval fortresses.
