Duration:

Description
Discover Uyuni and Colchani with a full day guided bus trip, including lunch. Visit the Salar de Uyuni, Incahuasi Island, Colchani and Ojos de Agua Salada, a hotel made entirely of salt.
Start your excursion at 10:30 am with a drive to the Salar de Uyuni.
The first stop is the eerie "Train Cemetery," located on the outskirts of Uyuni. Here, you can see the first locomotives of Bolivia and learn about their history, which connected several important cities. Now, corroded over time by the strong saline winds that sweep through this desert area, they provide a fantastic photographic backdrop.
Next, visit the small settlement of Colchani (salt miner workshops next to the salt flat), where you will also find salt crafts and textile art made from llama and alpaca wool. These make excellent souvenirs to take home. Take photos as you navigate the vast white expanse of salt, wade through the "Salt Water Eyes," and also visit a hotel made entirely of salt, which is currently used as a museum, the Flags of the World (where you can bring your own flag and place it there for free), and a monument to the Dakar races.
After a morning of exploration, lunch will be served near "Isla Incahuasi" (Fish Island). You will then have time to hike to the top of the island to see giant cacti and rock formations made of petrified coral. Next, take time to organize your group for fun distorted perspective and proportion photos on the dazzling white surface of the salt flats, playing with the scene—you're sure to capture funny and memorable pictures!
Finally, head to a spacious area to experience the unique opportunity to see a beautiful sunset over the salt flats, spreading its dazzling colors across the salar while enjoying it with a glass of wine.
You will return to the city of Uyuni at 7:15 pm.
