Live an unforgettable experience travelling from Puno to La Paz, passing through the ancient ruins of Tiwanaku. Get to know the cultural richness and the amazing landscapes that connect two worlds.
Itinerary:
-We will start early in the morning, picking you up at your hotel around 4:00 am.
-From there, we will start our journey to the border between Peru and Bolivia, located in Desaguadero, where we will enter Bolivia in the direction of La Paz.
-After about 4 hours of travel, we will arrive at our destination and begin a guided tour of the colonial quarter, Avenida 16 de Julio and Avenida Mariscal Gamaara.
-We will continue exploring the historic centre, where you can admire the Neoclassical Cathedral of Our Lady of Peace in the Murillo Square.
-You will have free time for lunch on your own. After this short break, we will visit the Santo Domingo Convent and the Witches' Market.
-To finish in La Paz, we will take a bus to the archaeological site of Tiwanaku, where one of the most important pre-Columbian cultures of Bolivia developed. ---We will take a detailed tour, visiting the temple of Kalasasaya, the pyramid of Akapana and the Sun Gate. You will also have the opportunity to admire the queros or ceremonial vessels, as well as the walls decorated with figures of human faces called huaco-portraits.
At the end of the tour, you will have gained an overview of Bolivia's rich culture and heritage.
-After creating new experiences and emotions of the day, we will return to Peru by bus and arrive in Puno between 14:00 and 15:00.
