Discover the natural beauty of Rio de Janeiro on a full-day tour. Visit the Botanical Garden, the Tijuca Atlantic Forest, and the Vista Chinesa. See the Emperor's Table and Mayrink Chapel, and take a short eco-trek through the rainforest.

After hotel pick-up, visit the Botanical Garden. Founded in 1808 by King John VI of Portugal, the garden shows the diversity of Brazilian and foreign flora. The 140-hectare park lies at the foot of the Corcovado Mountain, far below the right arm of the statue of Christ the Redeemer and contains more than 6,000 different species of tropical and subtropical plants and trees, including 900 varieties of palm trees.

The Garden also houses monuments of historical, artistic, and archaeological significance. The Botanical Garden has an important research institute, which develops a wide range of botanical studies in Brazil.

Next, visit the Tijuca Atlantic Forest, the largest urban forest in the world. During your Jeep tour through the rainforest, have many spectacular photo opportunities, with stops at Emperor's Table and Mayrink Chapel.

At an altitude of 487 meters above sea level, the Emperor's Table is set against stunning views of the city, counteracting urbanization and nature. Stairs surrounding the parapet of the area lead the tourist to the edge of a concrete ramp, making the tourist feel in the midst of a splendid setting.

The little pink chapel in the middle of the woods, 460 meters above sea level, resembles a house of children's history. It was erected in 1860 by the Portuguese banker Viscount de Souto inside his farm, in Tijuca Forest. The Chapel is one of the attractions of Tijuca National Park. Adorn the altar reproductions of panels with holy images of Cândido Portinari. The gardens, as well as the Carrara marble and tiled patio tub with frowning spout, were designed by landscape designer Roberto Burle Marx.

At Vista Chinesa, capture sweeping views of Ipanema and Copacabana beaches, Guanabara Bay and even as far as Niteroi. The lookout was built between 1902 and 1906. The oriental-style pagoda is a reference in honor of the Chinese who brought tea cultivation to Brazil in the early 19th century.

Made of bamboo and cement, and situated 380 meters above sea level, it is an important tourist spot in the city. En route, disembark for a short eco-trek lasting approximately 15-30 minutes, following an easy trail with your guide as you see the plants, animals, butterflies, and birds of the rainforest. Walk to the crystal-clear cascade of Cachoeira dos Macacos and pass the picturesque waterfalls of Cascatinha.

On the way back to the hotel, stop at the Pepino Beach to watch the hang gliders.
