Join a two-day tour from Uyuni, exploring the Train Cemetery, Colchani, and the stunning salt flats. Enjoy lunch in breathtaking landscapes and unwind at the Tomave hot springs!
DAY 1: Departure at 10:30 am. We will begin our tour by visiting the TRAIN CEMETERY, where you can admire the remains of steam locomotives from the 19th and early 20th centuries. The next stop will be the town of COLCHANI, famous for its salt crafts and the iodization of salt for human consumption (on a small scale). Then we will enter the extensive salt plain to see the SALT HEAPS, the DAKAR MONUMENT, THE SALT EYES, among others. One of the most notable monuments along the way will be the EX-SALT HOTEL “PLAYA BLANCA”, located in the middle of the salt flat.
We will have lunch at the salt flat, and then we will have enough time to enjoy the majestic natural landscape and capture fun photographs for our memories (the visit to Incahuasi Island is only available during the dry season, from April to November).
This day's tour will conclude at 7:30 pm in the town of Uyuni.
Accommodation, dinner and rest.
DAY 2: Departure at 08:30 am after breakfast. We will begin our journey to the hot springs of Tomave, located on the road to Potosí.
In the town of Tomave, we will visit a colonial church (entrance fee: Bs 10) and also enjoy a green lagoon on the way. Later, we will arrive at the hot springs of the town of TOMAVE, where you can relax in the hot springs and sauna (entrance fee: Bs. 10). Afterwards, we will return to Uyuni.
