From Puno: 2-day, 1-night excursion to Salar de Uyuni

ITINERARY

Day 1: Puno-La Paz-Uyuni The tour to the Salar de Uyuni from Puno begins with pick-up at the hotel in Puno and transfer to the bus terminal. Travelers will then board a tourist bus to La Paz, arriving at approximately 2:00 pm. The afternoon is free to explore, allowing visitors to discover the cities of La Paz and El Alto. Afterwards, tourists will transfer by tourist bus from La Paz to Uyuni.

Day 2: Uyuni - Salar de Uyuni We will start our day with a pick-up at the bus terminal in the city of Uyuni. Afterwards, we will head to our cafeteria to enjoy a delicious breakfast. Once finished, we will be picked up from the cafeteria to start our excursion at 10:30 am. Our first stop will be the train cemetery, followed by a visit to the town of Colchani, which serves as the entrance to the Salar. Here, you will find charming rustic handicraft workshops and observe the salt extraction process on the rustic table salt microprocessor.

Continuing our expedition to the imposing Salar de Uyuni, we will make stops to see the salt extraction, the natural formations known as the "eyes of the salar" and the Playa Blanca Salt Hotel, now converted into a museum. Then, we will visit the famous Incahuasi Island, the most prominent within the salt flat. Here, you will walk among extensive cacti, observe marine rock fossils and enjoy spectacular panoramic views from the island's lookout point.

To conclude our tour, we will return to the city of Uyuni, marking the end of our services for the Salar de Uyuni tour from Puno.
