From Atacama | Salar de Uyuni 4 days the largest salt lake

On this 4-day excursion, discover the magical Salar de Uyuni. You will walk on a sea of salt and discover the unique colors of the lagoons.
Start: This tour will start at 7:00 am from the meeting point in San Pedro de Atacama.
End: Day 4 at 1:00 pm in the center or bus terminal in San Pedro de Atacama (this end time could be modified due to weather conditions or force majeure, so we recommend that you leave your departure from San Pedro de Atacama for the day after the tour end date).

Day 1: This day will start with pick-up from the meeting point and we will depart by minibus from San Pedro de Atacama to the border with Bolivia, passing by the border offices of Chile and Bolivia. Once at the border, we will change to a 4x4 vehicle for 6 people. On this first day we will visit places in the Bolivian highlands, such as Laguna Blanca and Laguna Verde, located at the foot of the Licancabur volcano.

We will then visit the Salvador Dali desert, the Polques hot springs, with time for a swim, and the Sol de Mañana geysers, intermittent springs of warm water. We will end this day at Laguna Colorada, which is a nesting center for many flamingos. Tonight we will stay at the Villamar hostel.

Day 2: After breakfast, we will take the road to Tomas Lakha, where you can see pre-Incan cave paintings. Then we will visit Italia Perdida, a place where volcanic rock took the form of what seems to be an abandoned city. Afterwards we will go to Laguna Vinto and Laguna Catal, where you can walk and see the typical fauna of the Bolivian Altiplano.
Afterwards we will visit the Anaconda Canyon and also the Sora Canyon, before continuing towards the Salar de Chiguana and arriving at Colcha K, where we will spend the second night.

Day 3: This will be our last day and we will start very early to visit the Salar de Uyuni at sunrise. After this experience we will move to Incahuasi Island, which is a limestone rock formation located in the center of the salt flat where we can walk around and get another perspective of the salt flat. We will continue to the Salt Museum and the town of Colchani, just outside the salt flat. From here we will move to Uyuni, passing by the train cemetery, where we will make a short stop to take pictures.

In Uyuni we will say goodbye to our driver-guide, who has accompanied us for the previous three days, and then we will have free time to have lunch and walk around the city. Afterwards, we will meet our driver who will take us back, stopping in Villamar for dinner and rest.

Day 4: This day we will get up very early to continue our journey back to the border of Chile and Bolivia. Once there, we will change our vehicle for a minibus so we can return to San Pedro de Atacama.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
