La Paz to Uyuni via Sajama National Park

Explore the best of Bolivia on this exhaustive 5-day tour from La Paz to Uyuni (or San Pedro de Atacama) via Sajama NP. Join us on this great journey that voids the need for the bus or plane to Uyuni.
Start right in your doorstep in the city of La Paz. Upon pick up, we will drive towards Bolivia's first but little-known national Park: Sajama. Once there, we will have the opportunity to embark on a moderate and scenic hike with no crowds whatsoever! View stunning, Andean landscapes, wildlife, endemic Andean plants and snow-capped, dormant volcanoes that make up the natural Chile-Bolivia border such as Pomerape & Parinacota. At the end of the first day, soak up in the natural hot springs with views to kill for.

On the second day, travel through beautiful Andean countryside, enjoying varied landscapes along the border en route to the magnificent Uyuni Salt Flats. On the way, stop by the lesser-known Salar de Coipasa (dry season only), lagoons, vast plains, sand dunes and more.

Our third day will see us exploring the awe-inspiring Salar de Uyuni and its highlights such as Incahuasi Island plus other less-visited sites that this tour allows thanks to the unique direction through which we enter the salt flats. To top it off, enjoy one of the most memorable sunsets ever.

Our fourth and fifth days will take us to even more remote and dramatic landscapes in the well-known Eduardo Avaroa Reserve where the Red, Green, White and other Lagoons await with their pink flamingos and more wildlife. Safely get close to Sol de Mañana geyser field and seize another opportunity to bathe in natural hot springs.

After more amazing scenic stops that include deserts and quaint villages, we will make our way to the city of Uyuni where the tour officially ends and from where catching a flight or bus back to La Paz is a breeze. Alternatively, if you prefer not to return to Uyuni/La Paz, you may opt to request a short bus transfer to San Pedro de Atacama on the final day.
