Travel from La Paz with your guide to Chacaltaya Mountain and take in magnificent views of Huayna Potosí and Lake Titicaca. Continue to the Valley of the Moon and explore its unique lunar landscape.
Pick up from the meeting point at approximately 8:30 a.m. to go directly to Chacaltaya, a mountain with an altitude of 5,300 m.a.s.l. More than 80% of the Chacaltaya glacier melted between 1987 and 2007.
The glacier was one of the highest in South America.
Upon arrival at the refuge, you will have the opportunity to walk to the top of the mountain.
You will also be able to appreciate the wonderful view of the Huayna Potosí and Illimani mountains, Lake Titicaca and some parts of the city of El Alto.

Walking up and observing all the landscapes takes approximately an hour and a half, then going down and getting back in the car to leave for the Valley of the Moon.

Arrival at 1:30 p.m. at the Valley of the Moon. This valley has a particular rock formation similar to the lunar surface. When you are there, observe different types of trees and plants (native to the area), including the San Pedro cactus. The visit lasts approximately one hour.
Finally, you arrive at 4:00 p.m.
