Day 1: Arrival in Paro
Welcome to Bhutan! Arrive at Paro International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Paro. Acclimatize to the altitude.
Day 2: Paro Sightseeing
Visit the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang), a breathtaking hike to one of Bhutan’s most sacred sites. Explore Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest temples in Bhutan. Visit Rinpung Dzong, a historic fortress and monastery. Enjoy a lunch of authentic Bhutanese food.
Day 3: Paro to Thimphu
Drive to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. Visit the National Museum, showcasing Bhutan’s rich history and culture. Explore the Buddha Dordenma status, a magnificent gilded statue.
Day 4: Thimphu Sightseeing
Visit the Tashichho Dzong, the current seat of the government and the king. Explore the Memorial Chorten, a popular stupa for meditation. Visit the Handicrafts Emporium, showcasing Bhutanese arts and crafts.
Day 5: Thimphu to Punakha
Drive to Punakha, passing through the stunning Dochula Pass. Visit the Dochula Pass Memorial Chorten. Explore Punakha Dzong, a beautiful monastery perched at the confluence of two rivers.
Day 6: Punakha sightseeing
Visit Chimi Lhakhang, the “Temple of Fertility”. Explore the suspension bridge over the Pho Chu river. Drive back to Paro.
Day 7: Departure
Transfer to Paro International Airport for your departure flight.
