Enjoy the scenic highlights of the Shoalwater Islands Marine Park during a 1-hour glass bottom boat cruise that explores the ruggedly spectacular coastlines of Penguin, Seal & Bird Islands and takes advantage of the best wildlife spotting opportunities.
Take in the beautiful scenery in the marine park and, through the glass panels, see what goes on beneath the surface. Wild dolphins, rare Australian sea lions, pelican rookeries, and birds of prey are regularly sighted and our friendly crew will get you right amongst the action. Though, please note that no sightings are guaranteed.
The Cruise concludes on Penguin Island to see the penguin feeding and then enjoy some island time before returning on the ferry at your own leisure. Penguin feedings are presented by a Parks & Wildlife Services ranger at 10.30 AM, 12.30 PM, and 2.30 PM and last around 20 minutes, after which the rangers are available to answer any visitor questions.

Although sightings are regular, they are not guaranteed as the cruise is restricted to inside Shoalwater Bay
This activity is subject to suitable weather conditions
Penguin Island will be closed on the hottest days of Summer due to the Little Penguins molting
All areas that customers touch are frequently cleaned
You must keep social distance while in vehicles
The number of visitors is limited to reduce crowds
You are required to bring and wear a mask
Masks are required while indoors
All participants who are over 12 years old must present proof of full vaccination
In addition to proof of vaccination, all participants who are over 18 years old must present a government-issued photo ID (e.g. driver’s license, passport, etc)
- Please check in to collect your boarding pass from the Gift Shop 30 minutes prior to your scheduled ferry departure (your voucher will NOT be accepted as a boarding pass)
When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
Cancellation is not possible. If you cancel it anyway or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity and the money you paid will not be refunded.
