Discover Rottnest Island by bicycle and experience over 63 beaches and 20 bays as you explore this unique Class A Reserve renowned for its high conservation and community values. 

Before boarding the ferry please make your way to our office to collect boarding passes and a bike wrist band from our friendly reservations staff. Once you get off the ferry, collect your bike from our friendly ferry crew. Your bike hire will include a helmet and lock.

Bicycles must be collected on island by an Adult 18+. Hirers under the age of 18 must be accompanied at the time of bike hire by a parent or guardian who is 18+. Bicycles must be returned to the crew on the return ferry journey. To hire children's bikes, multi-day hire or bike accessories, Pedal & Flipper is our trusted partner for electric bikes and kids bikes. You can also hire baby seats, child trailers and other mobility assistance equipment.

Cycling is environmentally friendly and a fun recreational activity for all ages. As Rottnest Island has no private vehicles, cycling is also one of the best modes of transport on the Island. To ride around the entire island (22kms) you would need between 3-5 hours, alternatively there are shorter routes available.

Easily return your bike to our friendly crew and catch your return ferry to Fremantle when you are done exploring Rottnest Island.

• You will receive your boarding pass(es) from the activity provider via the email provided when booking, which you must present to the crew to board the vessel
• Passengers (excluding infants) are welcome to bring 1 carry-on item onboard per person
• Adult size bikes only
• Bikes must be collected by someone 18-years-old or over
• Bikes must be returned to the boat crew on the same day onboard the return ferry
• Children's bikes, electric bikes, multi-day hire and bike accessories can be hired by our trusted partner Pedal & Flipper.
You will need a boarding pass to embark our Rottnest ferry. If you have not already received boarding passes, please visit the blue SeaLink ticketing desk next to the E-Shed building at O'Connor Landing (B Shed Terminal), Victoria Quay. Victoria Quay is a 5-minute walk from Fremantle train station or a 15-minute walk from the Fremantle cruise ship terminal. Please collect a bike wristband from the blue ticketing desk. As you get onboard the ferry, you will be given your helmet and lock. Once you get off the ferry, you can collect your bike from our boat crew.

When should I book?

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.


Cancellations

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
