Description
We will guide you on foot to the most beautiful places in Hamburg's old town: from the town hall, following in the footsteps of the city's founders, to the Elbphilharmonie, Hamburg's new landmark.
We start at the city model on the Rathausmarkt, where we get an initial overview of Hamburg's historical city structure. There is a lot to see and tell around the Rathausmarkt!
We continue to the magnificent Rathausdiele, then head to the historic Chamber of Commerce, home to Germany's oldest still-active stock exchange dating back to 1558.
We stroll past the proud merchants' trading houses to the St. Nikolai monument. There we learn fascinating facts about the church and its former inhabitants.
We continue along Willy-Brandt-Straße to the picturesque Deichstraße - a journey through 500 years of Hanseatic architecture!
After a detour through the Speicherstadt, where we learn all about tea, coffee and oriental carpets, we reach Hamburg's new quarter: HafenCity. The highlight here is the Elbphilharmonie concert hall! If you fancy a fantastic panoramic view, book our Elbphilharmonie Plaza guided tour.
