Indulge in some of the popular Middle Eastern flavors on this journey by foot around Old Dubai. Starting in the Old Quarter of Al Bastakiya, you will visit the region’s only Coffee Museum for an interesting insight into regional and global coffee history. A cup of Gahwa, Arabic coffee kickstarts your tour.
The next stop will be at a traditional Café, which serves as a cool and relaxed contrast to its busy street location. Try a Lebanese breakfast favorite, cheese or zaatar Manakesh. Stroll past Al Fahidi Fort into the bustling Souk Al Kabeer. Stop briefly for a delightfully refreshing lemon and mint juice before discovering a hidden gem. Dig into a shared platter of Arabic Mezzeh whilst watching Abra boats tirelessly cross the Dubai Creek.
Later on, take a traditional wooden craft across the Creek to Deira. A pleasant stroll brings you to a popular creek-side restaurant for a taste of Shawarma and Falafil, the most ubiquitous of Arab street foods.
