Join a workshop in the heart of Bruges and learn to handcraft your own sterling silver ring. Experience every step of ring-making, from hammering and shaping to finishing a silver ring crafted entirely by you.
Begin by choosing the shape and style of your ring, considering a variety of design options to create a truly unique keepsake. Next, decide which finger you'll wear the ring on, measure your silver, and carefully cut it to size with a handsaw.
Choose from a wide selection of hand stamps to add a custom message inside the ring—a name, a date, or even the name of your favorite beer. Use mallets and a triblet to hammer the silver into a rough ring shape.
Watch a demonstration of the soldering process, heating and joining the silver to complete the ring’s shape. Check the fit to ensure it’s comfortable, then refine the shape to make it perfectly round before completing the outside of the ring.
Showcase your creativity by experimenting with textures or adding unique markings to make the ring truly yours. Finally, pick your preferred finish: polished for a bright sparkle, satin for a soft sheen, or a rough forged look for a rustic touch.

No prior experience with jewellery tools or silverworking is needed.
Please bring reading glasses if needed for close up and detailed work.
Be aware this is a working workshop and you will be using hand tools, saws, hammers, files and other specialist jewellery tools.
Please be prepared to be hands on throughout the experience, your safety is important so listen to any guidance when using tools.
Please do not wear high heels or open toe shoes for the workshop.
The workshop is located in the centre of Bruges within our retail store Bennett and Mason

When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
