Description
Escape to an Island Paradise! Cruise with Beachcomber and her crew from central Surfers Paradise to the Gold Coast’s best kept secret - a place known as ‘Tipplers Cafe’ on South Stradbroke Island.
This exclusive small group tour is limited to 12 guests per day due to the pristine environment of South Stradbroke Island. Guests enjoy a one-hour (25-kilometer) boat trip past the sights of Surfers Paradise’s famous high rises, glamorous homes, marinas, and theme parks, north into the waterways and wilderness of Southern Moreton Bay Marine Park to our destination on South Stradbroke Island.
South Stradbroke Island is the most southern sand island in Moreton Bay and is a 22km long protected Conservation Park managed by The Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service.
On your cruise through to South Stradbroke Island, be on the lookout for a variety of Australian wildlife including marine-life such as dolphins, turtles, and dugongs. Stunning birdlife also call this area home; species such as Pelicans, White-bellied Sea Eagles, black swans and more.
Visitors to South Stradbroke Island may be fortunate to spot the striking golden swamp wallaby or even species such as echidnas and goannas which are some of the wildlife that call this Island home.
Once arriving at Tipplers guests have up to three hours to enjoy this piece of Paradise. Guests can choose to relax or to join the guide on the ‘Tipplers Walking Trail’. This is a 45-minute guided return walk - suitable for most fitness levels - that leads visitors on a path across the island through a beautiful dense forest of Australian native vegetation species to the remote eastern beach. On this remote eastern beach you may find that the only other visitor may be a wallaby or two!
This isolated eastern beach of South Stradbroke Island is also the perfect spot to take a photo to the south of Surfers Paradise in the far distance. It is also the perfect vantage point to view the passing Humpback Whales during their June – October annual migration!
On the return to Tipplers guests can order lunch or a drink from the Tipplers Café.
Tipplers Café serves a delicious selection of food and drinks, and it is here that guests can order lunch or indulge in an Island cocktail if they choose! There’s a couple of hours of relaxation / 'Island time' at Tipplers Cafe before the return boat cruise.
We will then cruise back to the original pickup spot in Surfers Paradise for our guests to disembark after their Tour!
